LAC Taut Gold Standard Series

My O my… COLLAGEN. This is the key concern for women at my age. Though I am just in my 30s, it’s high time I start slapping those collagen infused stuff onto my skin, in the hope it will really be of use to keep my skin from being saggy. I am very happy to receive the Taut Gold Standard series of Collagen Infusion Mask, Collagen Infusion Essence and Collagen Drink! See, I told you. Collagen INFUSION.

First thing I tried was the LAC Taut Collagen Infusion Mask. This mask is very saturated with product. The website claims that you can see results in 10min, but I seriously can’t tell cos I am not that kind of person that can tell the slightest difference. But I do notice that my skin felt firmer the next morning when I washed my face. So I believe this mask works! However, do note that this mask did leave my face feeling a little sticky with the product left on skin. Even after 2 hours the product still wasn’t fully absorbed into the skin and my face still felt sticky. There wasn’t any fragrance that I pick up with my nose so I think it should be fragrance free. And best of all, it did not cause my skin to break out at all. So I kinda really like this mask. Will probably purchase this for a monthly or fortnightly use after my collagen facial treatments end. It costs SGD49.50 for a box of 5 pieces of masks. In my opinion, it’s quite worth the price.

Two days after, I started using the LAC Taut Collagen Infusion Essence. This is quite a watery serum-like essence. I quite like the serum as it’s rather light and took about 1 minute for the essence to be absorbed into the skin and leaves my skin feeling smooth. After which, I would use my current favourite moisturizer, Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizer Gel.This essence costs SGD119.95 for a 14.6ml. The last item is the LAC Taut Collagen Drink plus placenta. To be frank, I was a little erks out by the fact it contains placenta. Ok. I know I know. Placenta is good for skin, blah blah blah. But it still erks me out. I almost wanted to just dump this bottle without even trying it but I still tried in the end and continued feeling yucky. Anyway, I was actually expecting it to have that heavy fishy taste but to my surprise, it tasted citrus and just like orange juice with a little sourness to it. I finished it without much difficulty though the thought of “placenta” bothered me. A 8 bottles pack costs SGD99.95, which is very expensive considering that it recommends drinking it for 3-4 nights a week. I have no idea if it works since I only took 1 bottle. If cost isn’t the issue, I will probably buy this for my regular dose of collagen. Or maybe I won’t since the thought of having placenta content makes me wanna puke. -_-”
